8 Reasons Why Your Best Friend is Your Soulmate

Every girl has that one friend that means the world to her. The one friend she can always rely on no matter what she is going through. That one person is a female soulmate rather than just a best friend.

1. “We both need sleep”

Only a true soulmate will tell you that you cannot start a phone conversation at 10 PM because you both know it will lead to a 6-hour gossip and/or therapy session. You both need your beauty sleep or else the world will feel the wrath come 8 AM college classes.

2. 24/7 Hotline

If she lets you call her at 2 AM just to complain about the annoying guy at the supermarket, you guys were destined to be friends. Only a true best friend would be open to talking to you at any time of the day about literally anything. She may have to work early the next day but she will tell you that you are more important than sleep to her.

3. “The Feeling is Mutual”

If you do not like her, neither will your best friend. You guys share a mutual hate for one person as if your emotions are combined into one. This also goes for mutually loved, mutually annoyed and mutually tolerated. She will love your family like you do, be annoyed by the same things you are as soon as you tell her about them, and you will both tolerate that one girl you are forced to be friends with.

4. You can be yourself

A true female soulmate will never judge you for who you are. She will laugh at your jokes even when she is the only one to find them funny. Judgment will never be passed after you remove your makeup and look like someone shaved your eyebrows off. As your soulmate, you both will always share a love for each other that cannot be broken by a few extra pounds or a little too much wine.

5. No one understands you like I do

There is a bond between best friends that can only be described as unique. You two just get each other without words being spoken. A simple shared glance can convey feelings of humor, anger and even wanting to hightail it the hell out of there. She is the only one to be able to catch on to the story you are telling and finish the lie better than even you could have.

6. Meme Communication

You are true soulmates when you can go days with speaking only through memes that remind you of each other. She is the only one who gets your weird sense of humor and wine obsession. Only you could find the perfect jokes to describe her love of all things cute and her relationship status, or lack thereof.

7. I Love You is Normal

You know your friendship has reached the status of soulmate when telling her “I love you” before ending a phone call is normal. She is your best friend and you would be crushed if something ever happened to her. One thing you want the other to know is that you love her no matter what she goes through. The love you two share is so special because it only comes around once in a lifetime.

8. You will never abandon her

Having watched her go through heartache after heartache, you know you will never abandon her. The light you see inside her burns so bright that you cannot imagine why anyone would treat her poorly. You know she deserves the very best in all she does because she is smart, beautiful, kind, and the best friend anyone could have. She is one of the few people in your life that you would risk anything for, including going to jail for beating up some guy that broke her heart.

Your female soulmate is just as rare as your male one. When you find her, never let her go and never let anyone treat her badly. She is a gem and deserves a best friend as wonderful as her in return.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
