Meredith Grey is someone that every "Grey's" fan looks up to. She doesn't always seem to have her life together—actually, she never seems to—but yet you find yourself saying in the back of your head, "Wow, I wish I could be like that," and here are just a few reasons why.

1. She's so incredibly strong

No matter what incredibly awful thing happens in her life she always seems to be able to pick her self back up and go back to work. From her mother being a terrible person, to losing her sister, to most of her friends leaving or dying, to losing her husband, she seems to come back to work and figure things out becoming even stronger than she was before.

2. She had an incredible love some can only dream of

She and Derek were so in love it was almost unfair to all of the other couples on the planet. They really made you realize how important being with the right person is, even if the circumstances are hard. The way they looked at each other is the way every "Grey's" fan dreams of being look at by someone. Meredith and McDreamy will always be the best couple.

3. She's not scared to speak her mind

She's always saying what everyone is thinking but is too scared or feel that they shouldn't say. She doesn't care what other people think—if she likes or doesn't like something she will let you know. She's constantly bending the rules and sometimes even breaking them to do what she thinks the patients or other surgeons deserve.

4. She and Christina had the best friendship

Meredith and Christina were each other's people, always there for each other and constantly making sure the other one wasn't doing anything stupid. They did everything together and told each other everything. They were best friend soul mates, and they made every fan want to find their "Person".

5. She's an awesome surgeon

We watched her work her way up from being an intern to where she is this season. We watched her decide to become a general surgeon and who wouldn't want to be a surgeon?

6. She has such good friends

Even though George and Derek died and Izzy and Christina left, she still manages to be surrounded by such amazing and caring friends. She is never living alone and is constantly surrounded by people who only want the best for her.

7. She has such a cute family

Her family is so cute, and her kids m,ake her so happy. Starting with she and Derek getting married, to adopting Zola, to having Bailey when they didn't think she could ever have kids, to having Ellis after Derek's death. Although she lost her husband she still has her three incredible children that make her happy.

8. She's gorgeous, but she's so much more than that

She is so pretty, but she is so many other more important things like strong, loving, persistent, dedicated and extraordinary. These are all things we all should want to be, so much more than just a pretty face.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
