8 Reasons Wine Is A Girl's Best Friend

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy wine, and that's kind of the same thing.

Wine: A white or red liquid containing alcohol that is usually found in the cabinet in a glass bottle. Once indulged, one might do things he or she might normally not do and have a great time doing it.

Wine is the best drink to have and a it is a girl's best friend. Whether we are looking for a relaxing night in or a wild night out, wine is always there to support us and accompany us along the way.

1. Wine understands our money problems.

Are you about to get the e-mail that your bank account has fallen below $25, yet you're still looking to have a fun drunken wine night? This is what boxed wine and cheap bottles of wine at Walmart are for.

2. Wine allows you to express your feelings.

Wine may be the reason as to why there is a crying girl in the corner at a house party or bar, but it also is the reason behind many girls' friendships growing after the wine kicks in and causes them to repeatedly tell each other how much they love one another.

3. It is the perfect addition to a girl's night.

Girls night could mean going out with the girls or it could mean staying in and gossiping over an abundant amount of wine. And the more wine you drink, the better the girl talk gets.

4. It's proven that a glass a day keeps the doctor away.

As if we didn't have enough excuses to drink wine, now we can say that it's actually healthy to drink. (Although we all know none of us are drinking only one glass.)

5. Wine is comforting.

There is nothing better than rewarding yourself with a glass of wine, or an entire bottle, after a bad day. Wine is like a magical potion that makes you all giddy and happy no matter the situation.

6. It makes us feel classy.

Every once in a while, it's nice to sip on a classy drink and pair it with some good tasting food rather than getting wasted off of vodka / tequila, etc., and then shoving any and all (usually fried or greasy) food down our throats.

7. You can make sangria out of it which means you can get your daily dose of fruit in for the day.

I mean technically wine is made from grapes so you're getting your fruit either way, but if you want a more realistic explanation of how you'll get your serving of fruit while drinking wine, have a glass of sangria.

8. It gives us a sense of confidence.

Other alcohols give us the, "It's OK to dance on top of a bar and embarrass yourself in front of everyone," confidence, where as wine gives us that, "You're an awesome chick who can do anything," confidence that all girls need every once in awhile.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
