As college students, we need to constantly remind ourselves on how important it is as a life skill to procrastinate. This will become a hammer in our tool belt to the real world. Here are eight great reasons why we need to procrastinate. And don't worry, I prepared this list by waiting until the very last to do it.
1. That project is due soon but I can't work on an empty stomach!
Who cares about freshman 15? These extra calories are gonna help my brain focus on my chemistry project ... tomorrow.
2. It will help me prepare for the future.
When I have a real job, I will be put under intense stress, so I might as well prepare for it now by waiting out this English paper.
3. My best ideas come under pressure.
It always happens that my best ideas on the summary of "Hamlet" come in about three hours before the paper is due online.
4. My professor might give me an extension...
To be honest, this probably will take some work, but if it can allow me to chill for another day or two, why not?
5. The paper is due in two days, but the game is only on tonight.
This game could go down in history! while this history paper will only go down in the recycling.
6. Cool kids procrastinate.
This is where I can recreate my image as an edgy college kid that lives in the moment and does their papers when it is almost too late.
7. It is the only way to get the real college experience.
Everyone that is anyone in college has procrastinated, and you need to procrastinate to keep with the streak going!
8. What's the worst that can happen?
In the end, you will still be walking across the stage, whether it takes four years or 10 years. You always will have time for work, but you will only have so much time to have fun. So procrastinate.
