I would consider myself both a snow cone expert and a snow cone addict, and to this day I stand by my belief that if you want the best frozen treat you've ever tasted, you should look no further than Sno Biz in O'Fallon, Missouri. One of several locations, both within the U.S. and internationally, this little white hut can provide you with a quality snow cone for an extremely affordable price. Here are just a few reasons why I'm a frequent Sno Biz customer:

1. The snow cones are delicious (obviously).

We aren't talking carnival style, shaved ice in a thin paper cone here. Sno Biz never disappoints in quality or quantity. Even the small size is nearly enough to qualify as a full meal. The sweet flavoring and fluffy Hawaiian ice make for the ultimate snow cone.

2. It's a great place to hang out with friends.

If you choose to stay and eat your snow cones, there is a cute little eating area to sit and enjoy the nice weather. I personally like to put the tailgate down in the parking lot and soak up the sun.

3. They offer hundreds of different flavors and combinations.

Wedding Cake, Frog in a Blender, Strawberry Margarita... the list goes on and on. It's impossible to get tired of the snow cones at Sno Biz because there are so many options, with new combinations being added all the time. Even flavors that you wouldn't normally try might surprise you.

4. And let's not forget about the toppings.

For just 50 cents extra, you can add cream, marshmallow, chocolate, or caramel to your cone. Once you try a topping, you'll never eat a normal snow cone again.

5. Unlike other snow cone chains, the prices are reasonable.

Listing of Sno Biz O'Fallon prices (tax included):

Kiddie - $1.35

Small - $2.25

Medium - $2.75

Large - $3.25

What's better than a snow cone that doesn't drain your bank account?

6. The employees are friendly.

Everyone that works at Sno Biz will greet you at the window with a smile when you order, and they get your cones made quickly. Don't forget to put your change in the tip jar!

7. It's open late for when your cravings kick in right before bed.

Sno Biz in O'Fallon is typically open until 10:30 Sunday-Monday. There really isn't a bad time for a snow cone, especially on a 95-degree day.

8. Punch cards... who doesn't love free stuff?!

Starting at the beginning of June each year, Sno Biz offers punch cards. For every 10 snow cones you purchase, you will get one free. This is especially useful for people like me who buy multiple snow cones each week (maybe even each day).

I highly recommend trying Sno Biz the next time you're looking for the perfect summer treat. Check out their Facebook page for more information.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

College without friends is like peanut butter without jelly.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
