8 Reasons Why “Interstellar” Is A Masterpiece

Interstellar has been a huge hit in the theaters, and there is no mystery as to why. Here are some reasons why it is arguably one of the best movies of the decade:

1. The special effects are out-of-this-world.
The graphics are unreal. You will feel like you are on a space expedition yourself, crashing into other planets and exploring the terrain. The visual effects are so clear; you will think you are looking at the actual Milky Way Galaxy.

2. Matthew McConaughey… need I say more?

McConaughey’s acting skills have exponentially improved over the years. He just won an Oscar for his talents in “Dallas Buyers Club,” but he proves that they are stronger than ever by his role in “Interstellar.” I could swoon over his dreamy looks and charming voice all day, but I was genuinely impressed and convinced by the determined character he plays in this movie.

3. Lasting inspiration.
It’s normal (especially for dreamers like me) to leave a movie such as this one, feeling inspired and driven to make a difference in the world. Usually, the feeling lasts for a few hours and is gone once the movie-hype has faded. Interstellar leaves you feeling, knowing, that you can make a change if you believe. Sounds corny now, but you won’t think so after you watch.

4. The most entertaining 3 hours of your life.
As ADD as I am, I never thought I would be able to sit through a 3-hour movie without either falling asleep or getting ants-in-my-pants. I didn’t check my watch one time. Truth is—I didn’t want the movie to end! It’s amazing how entertaining this movie remains throughout the entire duration.

5. Constant “WOW” moments.
Speaking of being entertained the whole time, you will consistently be blown away. I found myself covering my mouth in disbelief, gasping, and in pure awe, several times throughout this theatrical work-of-art.

6. Covers the full range of emotions.
I can honestly say I have never seen a movie that hits possibly every emotion I have ever felt. You will laugh at nerdy jokes, cry at heart-warming family moments, and become angry at stubborn characters. Not to mention, I sobbed like a baby (embarrassingly…gasping for air, the whole nine yards).

7. The whole cast works together as a terrific team.
Every actor and actress seems so natural throughout the entire film. Never do you feel awkward for the characters because of unnatural behavior or cheesy acting. Obviously, Matthew McConaughey brings it, but Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Tofer Grace, and Michael Caine are also among the movie’s talented crew.

8. Your intelligence will increase… maybe.
Not only will you learn from this movie (although some of it is fictional and far-fetched), you will feel inspired to learn more. I have always found constellations intriguing and the moon a beautiful creation, but I now have a real curiosity and interest in space and what it beholds. This movie will make your imagination run wild.

If have you haven’t already seen “Interstellar,” or want to see it again and again (as in my case), I have no doubt that you won’t be disappointed.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.
