1. Endless cuddle sessions
I mean of course you can have that soft pillow and comfy blanket, but is that ever enough? I don’t think there is anything better than having a little or big ball of fur to cuddle with whenever and wherever you want.
2. They hug you with their eyes
You don’t need to ask your dog for a hug when you need one. They just get you and know when they have to give you that look and they can make all of your worries go away.
3. They teach you responsibility
While having a dog is a lot of fun and games, there is more too it. They still need to eat, go for walks, be entertained, and go to the bathroom. Having a dog is like having a mini child, including how blessed we are to have them.
4. Having a dog is better than having a boyfriend
You don’t have to worry about your dog cheating on you. You don’t have to worry about the break up and heartbreak. You don’t have to worry about your dog liking other girls’ Instagram pictures. Need I say more? Your dog will be endlessly devoted to you.
5. They forgive you even when you're mean
Even when you’re having a bad day and take your bad mood out on your dog, they wont hold a grudge. They will most likely still try to snuggle with you and make it all better.
6. You can tell them all of your secrets
Why is their hair so big? It’s full of secrets. No matter what, you can tell your dog all of your deepest darkest secrets and I can guarantee you they will never get out. My dog is my walking diary and my favorite person to gossip with.
7. They love you even when you look ugly and might smell
Your dog will never ever judge you. They don’t care if you forgot to put on deodorant that day or if you haven’t washed your hair in 3 days. Is there anything better?
8. You always have something to look forward too when you come home
After that long day at school or work, feelings defeated, exhausted, sad, tired, or angry… There is nothing better than coming home to a loving creature waiting to greet you and embrace you as soon as you step your foot in the door. For that reason alone, I thank my dog everyday for being my favorite part of my day/life.
