"The Secret Life of The American Teenager" was the soap opera for our generation and it quickly became everyone's guilty pleasure. We all anxiously awaited Monday nights when we could catch up on the sex lives of our favorite teenagers at Grant High.

The show revolved around Amy Juergens, an innocent high school freshman who hooked up with the sexy bad boy, Ricky Underwood. at band camp and then discovers she is pregnant. In the beginning of the series, Ricky is a total player who doesn't seem to care about Amy that much. But by the end of the show, he managed to capture the hearts of the majority of female viewers, making us all join #teamramy.

By the time the series finale rolled around, Ricky and Amy had been engaged for a while, but ran out on their elopement, claiming that they would have a real wedding later. They didn't. Instead, with less than five left in the show, Amy leaves Ricky and their son, John, to go to school in New York.

I am still not over it for a ton of reasons -- nine to be exact.

1. Their cute, little chats in the hall.

Ricky always had a witty remark and a kiss to dismiss all of Amy's concerns. They seemed to be in the hallway making out or arguing with each other more than they were ever in class.

2. The fact that he proposed to her in his graduation speech.

Talk about #relationshipgoals.

3. They make a beautiful family.

John is seriously just the cutest. Obviously, their genes work well together. Have more babies together. Please.

4. How Ricky turns his life around for Amy.

Ricky was a Class A jerk, but with some time (okay, a lot of time), he totally changes, because he's in love with Amy.

5. Ricky was way better than Ben.

As the finale neared, producers created the theme "Who Will Amy Choose: Ben or Ricky?" Throughout the whole series, we learned how seemingly sweet and innocent Ben was, even though he turned out to be a rich, spoiled, whiny brat. But somehow, Amy ends up going to New York where Ben just moved to "find herself." Coincidence? I think not.

6. Ricky is the dream guy.

He's smart, funny and sexy. He's the bad boy who turned good. He's a great dad. He survived his horrible past, filled with abuse and worked through it to become a better man.

7. They were totally in love with each other.

During the breakup scene, AKA World War III, Amy and Ricky start screaming about how much they hate each other, but are also crying uncontrollably because the truth is, they've always been in love with each other.

8. They were destined to be together.

They were about as star-crossed as Romeo and Juliet.

9. They got together at band camp.

Ricky insisted that Amy play the tuba for him, but she said that her lips were too dry and, in true Ricky fashion, he kissed her.

Brenda Hampton ripped all of our hearts out by splitting up our favorite couple, creating one of the worst finales ever. She later said that of course, in the future, Amy and Ricky would end up together.

But I'm afraid I'll have to see it to believe it.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
