8 Reasons Why I Can't Wait To Be Home For The Holidays

The fall semester has been great and all, but I just can not wait to go home for the holidays.

1) The thing I am looking forward to the most is being able to eat real food. I feel like I haven't had an authentic home cooked meal in forever because I have been eating nothing but campus food, which is definitely not real food. Even the thought of just being able to sit down with my family and eat together gives me such a warm feeling.

2) I don't have to do any studying or homework. This is self-explanatory. I have no obligations, nor responsibilities. I don't have to go to class or worry about if I forgot to study. I can just relax without a worry on my mind, and binge watch Netflix without any interruptions.

3) I miss my family. I can't wait to go home and see everybody and just give them the biggest hugs, and just enjoy their familial presence. It's not like we don't talk at least once a week on the phone, but I just miss their presence. Even the fights, because that is just what family is for, and when your away you don't really realize how much you will miss that.

4) I miss my pets. I miss the kisses and the cuddles while constantly being followed around the house with my shadow in the shape on an animal. When you're without them for so long you just don't realize after all the picking up of poop and shedding how much you're going to miss the constant affection they give it's like nothing else.

5) I miss my bed. When I had to leave for school to begin with I felt like I was breaking up with my bed. It brings me so much comfort and happiness when I am home. It's like the significant other that can never cheat on you, and never leave you.

6) Finally some alone time for myself. After living with three other people in the same area, it's nice that I can finally go home and relax by myself without worrying if somebody cleaned up after themselves, or if I am going to have to clean it up. The peace and serenity I get when no one can have loud friends over that interfere with studying, besides myself are the best. It's just nice to be able to run around my room naked.

7) All my high school friends will be home. I can't wait to just be around the people I have grown up with. It is always nice for a reunion after a long time and be able to just be yourself and laugh until you cry with all your best friends that you have missed from home.

8) Just being in the holiday spirit. Decorating the house for Christmas while listening to Christmas music, and making cookies. Eating food you don't usually eat every other day of the year like spiral ham, or a huge Turkey you have to carve yourselves. Seeing all the houses lit up by brightly multi-colored lights, and hearing everyone say "Happy Holidays." It just seems like people are in a better mood during the holidays.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. A Deep Dive Into Taylor Swift’s Albums: 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Edition
Edited by Hailey Hastings

I am fully emersed into diving deep into every single Taylor Swift album, which I do on my own all the time, but wanted to do it in a way where I am sharing what a special discography she has. I feel like 1989 is the perfect place to start, it's an era that changed everything, and will always be an album people automatically think of when you say "Taylor Swift."
