8 Reasons To Love A Jeep

Nothing screams "America" like a Jeep Wrangler.

8 Reasons To Love A Jeep
Rachel Croke

Everyone who owns a Jeep loves their Jeep. I have only really ever driven Jeeps and I wouldn't wish for another car. It is, by far, the coolest car in the whole world and here's why.

1. The "Jeep wave."

OK. You're cruising down the street in your new Jeep. You feel cooler than ever before and you are smiling ear to ear. Someone in a Jeep coming in the other direction passes you with a small wave. So small a wave that it's almost wrong to even call it a wave. You are confused. "Do I know them?" you think to yourself. You continue on your way and another Jeeper passes by you and tosses you that same half-wave, half-two finger lift off the steering wheel. Welcome, my friend, to the club. The "Jeep wave" is a wave only exchanged between Jeep drivers and it is by far the best part of owning a Jeep. If you're feeling down, no worries, your fellow Jeep drivers will always be there for you!!

2. Great in all seasons.

My friends used to be afraid to drive home in the snow. However in my Jeep, I know no snow, ice or sleet can harm me because of my Jeep with its 4-wheel-drive. A Jeep will go up and over a snow bank, not through it or into it (my crazy guy friend felt the need to test this out, but I do not really recommend trying this at home).

3. The safety features.

Jeeps are so safe. Whenever I'm driving down the highway, I feel like I'm traveling in one giant, sturdy box with wheels. Trust me. No Prius or Honda Civic is going to want to get in your way.

4. Taking the doors/roof off.

This may come across as a contradiction to three, but taking the doors and roof off is such a thrilling experience, especially if it's your first time. What could be better than hanging your legs/arms/both out of the place where the door would be or having the ability to grab a leaf off a nearby tree?

5. The decor.

You have the freedom to decorate your Jeep in the sweetest bumper stickers or tire covers ever. There are stickers for everything and a Jeep cover for everyone's favorite holidays, prints, patterns and themes. And you can switch up your tire cover whenever you want or use no cover at all.

6. American made.

Nothing screams "America" like a Jeep Wrangler flying down the beach with the roof and doors off, a giant American flag attached to the back of it and a handful of people, plus a golden retriever, all riding along to the most American music ever.

7. The stereo.

The stereo/speaker system in the Jeep is the best. Everyone wants the Aux in the Jeep.

8. Jeep owners are the best kind of people.

Anyone who owns a Jeep is an adventurous, spontaneous and fun person. There is no driver on the road quite like the Jeep driver. Enough said.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
