8 Reasons To Be Glad That Summer Is Over

You heard me right, summer is over and I couldn't be happier.

I know, I know, everyone loves summer. For some of us though, fall is where we shine, and when school starts back, the excitement for all of our favorite things becomes almost too much to handle. Here are the top ten reasons to be happy that summer is finally over:

1. The beginning of fall means the beginning of school, and that means you see your friends on a daily basis.

Even though you see your friends periodically throughout the summer, nothing beats getting to hang out with your friends every day, even if that hangout includes lots of studying and homework.

2. The heat of the sun isn't burning your skin to a crisp on a daily basis.

Okay, I understand that some people actually tan during the summer (a girl can only dream) but for those of us with fairer complexions, no amount of sunblock will ever be enough. Not to mention that in winter you don't stand out as much for looking like Snow White.

3. On that note, you don't immediately start sweating when you walk outside during the fall.

Summer is great and all, until you walk 10 feet to get your mail and suddenly look like the sprinkler system caught you off guard.

4. Fall fashion is the best fashion!

Nothing beats oversized sweaters, cute boots, and pretty jackets.

5. All your favorite shows come back on.

The wait is over! It also helps that the weather is conducive to staying inside and binge watching...

6. All the bugs are gone.

As someone who has a, although irrational, very serious fear of June bugs the end of summer can't come soon enough.

7. Fall = Halloween.

I'm a little biased because Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I basically wait all year long for it to come around, but if it's not your thing fall also brings Thanksgiving so it's a win win.

8. Comfort food is at it's peak in the fall.

Cold weather means warm soup, roasts, pumpkin flavored everything, and less guilt for eating it. No one is thinking about their bikini body in the middle of fall. Just eat the pie.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
