It almost seems like people feel bad for those who are seen out in public eating by themselves. I'm not just talking about those fast food restaurants where someone is quickly eating before having to go somewhere, I'm referring to those people who go to a sit down restaurant and eat by themselves.

I used to be one of those people who felt bad for those people. There is a wide variety of people who go out and eat by themselves. It wouldn't matter their age, I used to always feel bad for them. Sometimes I still do feel bad for them.

However, recently I've grown to be more open minded when it comes to people eating by themselves. Some people chose to go out and eat by themselves.

Call me crazy, but I highly recommend going out by yourself and enjoying a nice meal. It might be weird or awkward to you at first, but you'll soon enjoy yourself. I've done it, and I loved it

Eating alone is nice because of these 8 reasons:

1. You can sit back and enjoy your meal in peace without having to join in on conversations that you really don't care about or have no opinion on. We all know that sometimes we just want to eat our food and not be asked a thousand questions.

2. You can people watch all you want. If you want to go ahead and stare at that attractive person that walks in go ahead. There is no one to question what you are looking at or why you are looking at it.

3. You get to order whatever you want off the menu. No one is there to judge you for ordering a large meal or something new that you've always wanted to try but seems gross to others.

4. You are able to eat as much as you want. With that being said, you are also able to eat as little as you want. Eating alone helps you be mindful of how much you are actually eating and how much you want to eat.

5. You don't have to feel pressured into treating yourself or not treating yourself. If you want to get dessert go ahead, there is no one there to judge you for ordering that special time of the year cheesecake or for not ordering it. It's ultimately your choice on what you do.

6. You sometimes get special attention for being that table of one. Sometimes the waiter or waitress makes a few extra stops at your table to make sure you're doing okay. They may even offer up a free appetizer or dessert if you're lucky.

7. You get to take some time for yourself. You can sit back and think about those tough decisions that have been weighing on your chest. You're actually able to take time and sit down alone with a delicious meal in front of you to help you make the decision that is best.

8. You get to learn how to be more independent. Eating alone helps you to realize that you don't necessarily need anyone by your side while going out. It's perfectly acceptable to alone!

There you go, there are 8 great reasons to go out and be that table for one. Now go ahead and enjoy that nice sit down restaurant by yourself. You deserve it. Maybe it'll lead to going to movies alone or even a vacation. We all could use these "me" times!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
