Football season is a time of high tensions and fiery vocabulary. For those people who are less interested in the game, it can be hard to hang around on Sundays. Here are some reasons to just stay away from football fans from September until January.
1. We curse like sailors.
All filters are off on Sundays, so if you want to keep your day as PG as possible, just avoid the general area around the TV.
2. There's a lot of yelling.
How could there not be? Plus, we're certain the players and coaches in the screen can hear us talking to them.
3. We tend to attract significant attention to ourselves in restaurants...
...from all the aforementioned yelling.
4. We throw things.
Remotes, food, empty beer bottles, couch pillows, you name it. If it's nearby, it's fair game to be tossed at the television.
5. We have a one-track mind.
It's nearly impossible to get our attention away from the television. We're really don't mean to ignore you, we promise.
6. We eat all the food.
You better believe it. Stress eating chips and guac is a syndrome of being waaaay too into a game. Don't be surprised if we eat five hot dogs in the first half.
7. Our mood is directly impacted by the outcome of the game.
If we lose, count us out of all other activities for the evening. You wouldn't want us around anyway.
8. We'll turn on our best friend if they're rooting for the other team.
Friendship means nothing when it comes to football.
