8 Reasons Why I Love Working With Kids

Kids are very interesting little creatures. They can go from being completely naive to speaking like a little adult in no time at all. From the tears to the laughter, here are 8 reasons why I love working with kids.

1. It’s so easy to make them happy.

All it takes is having some blocks or even just a sticker to become the coolest person they’ve met.

2. You have to admire their imagination.

Even though their stories can get a little crazy, the sheer amount of creativity they have never ceases to amaze me.

3. They are the most honest people you will ever meet.

Whether they love you or hate you, you will know exactly where you stand with them at all times.

4. You constantly learn new things.

Whenever a kid has some interesting piece of information, they aren’t going to be shy about sharing it with you.

5. They constantly make you laugh.

There will never be a dull, humorless day when you are surrounded by kids.

6. You always have stories to tell.

Whether it’s something funny they say or do, you can never leave for the day without a new lifelong memory.

7. They are the most accepting people on earth.

In their easygoing, carefree minds, others' differences don’t matter in the slightest.

8. There is nothing better than getting the approval of a child.

Whether it’s hearing “good job” from your boss or “nice work” from your professor, there is nothing that can compare to a kid deciding to be your friend.

Even though working with kids can be tiring and challenging at times, it is completely worth every second.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
