Long distance relationships are hard. Especially when they are half way across the world. No one wants to be in a long distance relationship.
1. You rarely get to see your significant other.
And when you do see your significant other, you just want to spend every minute with them and never let them leave again.
2. You have to travel to see them.
Sometimes one person travels more than the other and it makes it hard to not be able to see the other person.
3. You can’t just call them up for a snuggle session.
Sad? Cold? Sick? Or just need your significant other? Forget calling them to snuggle and bring food and make things better.
4. You have to FaceTime/Skype in order to see them.
The closest you get to seeing their face is through FaceTime/Skype, sometimes only being able to call them through FaceTime Audio/Skype because they don’t have cell phone service.
5. They’re most likely in a different time zone, sometimes in a different country.
Call them at 5 p.m. local time but it’s about 3 a.m. their time? Time zones suck. Especially because no one likes being interrupted in their sleep.
6. When something happens and you just want to call them up and tell them everything that happened.
But you can’t because they're busy or sleeping.
7. When you get into fights it is hard to resolve over texts when you can’t talk on the phone.
You can’t tell the tone of the texts, so forget trying to resolve things that way.
8. Saying goodbye is the worst.
Either getting in the car to come home or getting on the plane. You start crying, not knowing when the next time is
9. It really just sucks.
There is no better word for it. You rarely get to see them, rarely get to kiss them. It sucks not being able to go on cute dates, it sucks not being able to go for 3 a.m. car rides through the city or looking for somewhere to eat because we got hungry.
