I love dogs; always have and always will. Not that I have anything against cats, but there is just something about dogs. After all, dogs are a mans best friend, right? Here are just a few reasons why they are the best pets to have:

1. They are always excited to see you

You could be gone for seconds or hours, but they never fail to wag their tail, whimper or bark when they see you. They immediately rush over to you the moment you step through the door and don’t calm down until they know you are staying home with them for the rest of the day.

2. They will always love you

No matter the circumstance, they continue to have that unconditional love. You could yell at them when they are bad, but they still continue to be right by your side. People tend to hold grudges, however, dogs almost forget that you were mad at them in the first place.

3. They know how you are feeling

Dogs know when you are happy or sad. They can sense your mood and are always there to cuddle no matter the situation.

4. They are the best at cuddling

Small or large, any sized dog loves to cuddle. So, curl up on the couch, put on Netflix and grab your dog. Who needs a cozy blanket when you have a dog draped all over your body.

5. You can take them anywhere

Most all dogs enjoy car rides, adventuring around different areas and smelling new scents. Even some restaurants now allow most all dogs. If you tell a dog that it’s time to go in the car, their excitement is through the roof. After all, they never know where they are going next.

6. They love people (and other dogs)

You could introduce them to a stranger, and they act as if they have known them forever. It is rare to come across a dog that is shy or doesn’t want their belly scratched. They are great at making friends easily and enjoy playing with anyone in sight.

7. They are great exercise buddies

If you need to go out for a run, they can easily join you. You could practice throwing for baseball and the ball will always be brought back for you. If you are feeling really adventurous, you could even take your dog on a hike with you. Best part about taking them is that they can't say they don't want to go.

8. They never talk back

You can tell them ‘no’ and they never complain or fight back; they listen. In fact, if you need someone to talk to, they will sit there without interrupting.

Dogs have so many great qualities that it makes it hard to not want one of your own. There are different breeds out there so everyone can find the perfect fit for them. I have two little Chihuahuas that I love dearly.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
