It's the last month of the year, and that is absolutely refreshing because it means we made it through! From the cozy winter weather to innumerable year-end celebrations, December has a lot to offer. Even if the rest of the year hasn't been that great, this month will be awesome simply because it's December, and that means it's the most wonderful time of the year! Here's eight reasons why December is the coolest month:

1. Cuddling in blankets!

December is a time for sitting on the couch by the fireplace wrapped up in a warm blanket. It's one of everyone's favorite parts of the month!

2. Vacations!

School's out for the holidays, and we love nothing more than a break from everything to enjoy it! You worked your butt off all year long and now that we're down to the final weeks of the year, you deserve to enjoy yourself!

3. Sweater weather!

No more sweaty weather, hello sweater weather! The weather has been unseasonable warm, but now that it has finally gotten colder, we can break out those cozy winter sweaters we love to wear!

4. Snow!

December marks the official start of winter, and with winter come lots of snow! Time to bundle up, pull out those sleds, and jingle all the way!

5. Family and friends!

How else can you make this month of festivities better for you? By visiting your family and friends! Everyone gathers together to celebrate the holiday season in the best ways with the people who mean the most to them.

6. Holidays!

It's finally time to celebrate the best holidays of the year! No matter what you are celebrating, it's guaranteed to be the most wonderful time of the year!

7. Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate

We all love a nice warm drink to warm us up on a cold December day! Plus, everything is peppermint flavored-it's like Christmas in a cup!

8. Ringing in the New Year!

Out with the old and in with the new! It's the time for us to reflect on everything from the past year and move ahead to the next, and December is the perfect month to do it!

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.
