"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all"-Stanley Horowitz

Autumn, also known as Fall, is a season that is truly unlike the others. There’s just something about the air getting crisper, the leaves slowly dying and carpeting the ground with their orange beauty, and the promise of scarves and lovely weather. It's the perfect time to throw a soft blanket on the ground, grab your favorite Harry Potter book, put on a flannel, and enjoy the wonders of nature. Although there are countless reasons as to why we love this time of the year so much, here are just a few to get us in the mood for the upcoming season!

1. The Leaves

How can you not "fall" in love with a picture like this?? The leaves on the ground and the remaining ones on the trees create a beautiful fiery colored scene!

2. Pumpkins

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin carving. How many things can we flavor or shape like pumpkins? Challenge accepted.

3. Scarves And Sweaters And Boots, Oh My!

Because who isn't counting the days until we can rock continuous layers of flannel?

4. Halloween

You're lying if you say you haven't already planned your costume.

5. The Sanderson Sisters

Are you really living life if you don't watch Hocus Pocus every single time it comes on tv?

6. Corn Mazes

There's nothing better than getting lost in a field of corn! Unless you've seen the scary movie "Children Of The Corn." Then there's nothing worse.

7. Haunted Houses/Forests

Because who doesn't want to pay money to be scared of the dark for the rest of the year?

8. Coffee

Pumpkin Spice. Thank you, Starbucks, for making every white girl's dream come true.

These are only a small handful of reasons why fall is simply irresistible to us. It's a time where we can finally get rid of the air conditioners and bring out the s'mores and late Friday night bonfires with friends. Thank you, Fall, for being the best!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
