Rachel Lindsey made history as the first African American woman to become the bachelorette on ABC's famous reality show. As any other reality shows, this one, in particular, has its ups and downs. Out of the many seasons that have premiered throughout the years, this one was one for the books, also known as one like none other before. Here is why this season's finale was the most emotional to date.
1. It started off with three men instead of the regular two, therefore your heart was in three different places.
Eric... Peter... Bryan, something smells fishy?
2. The previous week's episode between Rachel and Peter left a cliffhanger on what was to come next.
Awkward... How can she keep a straight face?
4. The 'goodbye' Rachel and Peter shared at the end of the episode was most definitely not a 'goodbye.
That kiss though and the confession of love.
5. How Rachel and Peter hashed it out during After the Final Rose over their goodbye.
Peter felt victimized, it was hard for him to face her for the first time since their 'goodbye'.
6. The emotions Rachel had about Peter not being ready to propose and Bryan being ready.
Her heart was being tugged on by two handsome men she was in love with.
7. The emotions bachelor nation had when there would only be one man proposing to Rachel in the end.
Everybody's question: Wait, is there only going to be one proposal?
8. The anticipation of wondering if Peter will heal his broken heart in enough time to become the next bachelor.
Because let's face it, Peter is pretty much the best man a woman could ever ask for.
