Being an aunt while you're still young is probably the greatest thing ever because you're instantly recognized as being the "cool" aunt. Your nieces/nephews love you because you're still able to play with them while everyone else is busy doing "grown-up" things. You're old enough to drive them to get ice cream, but young enough where you don't mind climbing trees with them or rolling around outside. Being a young aunt has so many unappreciated perks.

You can re-live your childhood by watching all your favorite shows or movies.

Thank god my nieces are into Disney princesses, because it gives me a reason to rewatch "Sleeping Beauty" and "Cinderella."

You also get to re-read all your favorite books.

Ah, yes, "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Classic literature.

If you kept some old toys from childhood, you can finally put them to good use.

All the Barbies in my attic are now being put to good use. Plus the Playmobil Pirate ship. And my toy treehouse.

While also getting to check out what cool new toys made their way on the market.

Their generation is lucky that technology was put to good use, because they get to play with some really cool toys. (Yes, that is a remote control R2D2, and yes, I'm totally jealous).

Kids haven't mastered the art of lying yet, so they'll always be brutally honest. Very refreshing, in small doses.

Once, I had a 2-year-old yell at me because I, "didn't have any friends." Reality checks you hard sometimes.

They give you an excuse to go on the swing set at the playground.

Now you won't get as many dirty looks from moms when you're hogging one of the seats! It's because you're bonding with your favorite baby!

You get to experience all the cute baby moments, without all the hard work of taking care of one 24/7.

I love getting to watch them talk and walk, but I'm glad I'm not the one up at 3 a.m. when they cry.

Your mom stocks up on popsicles and fruit snacks when they come to visit.

Chances are, your mom will take her newfound role of Grandma very seriously. And everyone knows that the most important part of being a good grandma is having good food. Luckily you get to cash in on that too.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
