You know those days when you just want to watch something good on Netflix, but you have no idea what to watch? I know exactly how you feel. Take a break from the scrolling, make some popcorn, and click on one of my top picks.
1. "The Late Bloomer"
I personally found this movie to be hilarious. A 30-year-old man wonders why he has never gone through puberty. To add, he is a well-known sex counselor. Seriously – I laughed during this entire movie.
2. "In The Land Of Women"
This will keep you at your feet with its unpredictable plot. The movie features Adam Brody as he travels to Michigan to take care of his grandmother for the summer. The people he encounters during his visit change his life forever.
3. "Begin Again"
Music, love, and relationships. I first time I saw this movie was actually in the TUC Cinema on campus at the University of Cincinnati. Two young adults reconnect and make music in New York City, and I still listen to the soundtrack from this movie! Adam Levine stars in this film, making it truly another reason to watch!
4. "Take Me Home"
I remember I should have been studying for an organic chemistry exam and I couldn't stop watching this movie on the balcony at my apartment in Cincinnati. A taxi driver does a favor for a woman and drives her from New York to California for a family emergency. Two strangers get to know one another through a taxi ride full of adventures.
5. "Coming Through The Rye"
I love this movie. 16-year-old Jamie Schwartz has a passion for the book "The Catcher in the Rye" and is determined to meet author, J.D. Salinger. He wants to adapt the book into a play and perform it at his school. Everyone will love this movie.
6. "The Fly"
I remember watching this sci-fi for the first time a few years ago on a rainy day while I was on vacation in Hilton Head Island. When I saw it was added to Netflix, I was ecstatic and watched it again. A classic - I still think about this movie often.
7. "The Giver"
I read the book in middle school and loved it. The movie is also excellent and unexplainable as it takes place in a dystopian society.
8. "The Sixth Sense"
Another classic that I recently just saw it for the first time. You will be glued to the TV the entire movie as protagonist, Cole, has the ability to see dead people and works with Dr. Crowe (Bruce Willis) to help him through his terror. Watch out for the major plot twist!
