If you're a big baller and like to see movies in the theatre, here are a few that you should put on your calendar for the year. If not, then this is a nice list of what to look forward to coming to a Redbox or your Netflix account in the near(ish) future.

1. "The Incredibles 2"

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for this for many years. Well, basically since that insane cliffhanger where the mole guy came out of the ground. I 100% expect to see a bunch of 20-year-olds at the premiere.

2. "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again"

When they first released that they were making this movie, I thought it was just someone making a fake movie trailer. Lucky for us, it wasn’t, and now you can catch me singing to every song in the theatre.

3. "Ocean’s 8"

I’ll be honest with you; I haven’t seen a full Oceans movie in my life. However, with this amazing cast, I think I might just have to start watching.I just want to know what they had to do to get Rhianna, Sandra Bullock, Mindy Kaling and many more amazing actresses in one movie.

4. "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwand"

I remember when the entire population was heartbroken after the last Harry Potter movie was released. Everyone thought that the magical world created by J.K. Rowling was over, but boy were we wrong. Luckily we now have the “Fantastic Beasts” series to continue to look forward to.

5. "Sherlock Gnomes"

It’s Gnomeo and Juliet meets Sherlock Holmes, what could be better?

6. "Avengers Infinity War"

My family (mostly my sister) has been thoroughly involved with the Marvel Universe for many years now. It’s about time that they all get together to fight evil.

7. "Tomb Raider"

At the moment, I’m not sure how I feel about someone besides Angelina Jolie playing Lara Croft, but what could be better than seeing a movie about an incredible woman kicking butt.

8. "Christopher Robin"

As a true Winnie the Pooh fan who has an obscene amount of Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals and a bunch of lollipops from the parks, you betcha I cried while watching the short trailer. I’m just happy that they’re finally making a live action movie for Pooh and friends, even if it is when Christopher Robin is an adult. I’ll be crying in the front row if you need me.

All coming to a theatre near you in 2018!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
