My 8 Best Moments Of Freshman Year Were Unexpectedly Amazing

My freshman year of college will be over in about a week, wait what? These past eight months have felt like just one month. time really flew by. As I reflect on my freshman year, I can not help but think about my top eight moments:

1. Attending my first football game

Nothing like being around over 100,000 other people who are also cheering on your team. Would it even be a freshman year at Michigan without a trip to the big house? HAIL no.

2. Finding my "people"

Finding my college best friends was definitely one of my best moments, cannot wait for the next 4 years with them! And for the lifetime of being avid Michigan fans, go blue.

3. Earning my first college "A"

Coming to a rigorous institution, such as University of Michigan, I was nervous about succeeding, but it was such a relief when I earned my first college "A."

4. Michigan Basketball's March Madness run

Making it all the way to the finals was unbelievable, even if we did lose. So proud to be a Michigan Wolverine!

5. Getting a campus job

Getting a job to make some extra cash was super nice for my bank account, but also for my resume. 10/10 would recommend working in college!

6. Halloweekend

What is better than going to out? Going out in a costume! Halloweekend was seriously one of the best weekends during my freshman year.

7. St. Patty's Day

Not even Irish, but I do know how to wear green and have fun on St. Patty's Day.

8. Surviving my finals

Although I ~technically~ have not survived my finals yet, I can not wait for them to be over and for me to officially to have completed my freshman year of college.

I literally cannot believe my freshman is almost over, and that I have the privilege to attend the University of Michigan. I seriously am going to miss Ann Arbor, my friends, and school during the next four months. I can not wait to see what my top moments will be sophomore year! See you on the other side, AA.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
