According to KnowYourMeme.com, it came from the Spongebob Squarepants episode, “Little Yellow Book" when Squidward finds out that if Spongebob sees plaid he gets uncontrollable chicken tendencies.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday.
