The holidays are the perfect time to stock up on some great new apparel from the bookstore and it’s never too early to start making your list.

Everyone loves being able to wear their Fairfield apparel both on and off campus, but everything that you wish to have can easily add up. I always find that it’s a great gift to ask for and it’s easy to try on different wish-list items before sending pictures of your favorites to your family back home.

Here are eight of my recommendations for your holiday wish list this year.

1. Boxercraft Fairfield University Women's Slim Fit 1/4 Zip Sherpa Pullover Sweatshirt

It is the new sweatshirt to have on campus. It is perfect for keeping you warm and cozy as winter approaches. It’s the perfect new winter clothing addition to your wardrobe.

2. League Fairfield University Women's Crewneck Sweatshirt

The sweatshirt is perfect for both the fall and the winter. In the fall, I like to wear it with a vest and in the winter, it’s a great sweatshirt to wear under my big winter coat and it will keep me warm during class. It is my Friday outfit go-to during the fall.

3. New Era Fairfield University Women's Pom Knit Beanie

The beanie is perfect for walking to class on snowy days and sledding down the library hill. It is also a cute hat to have in all of your snow pictures that you have to take and post when you go sledding.

4. Vineyard Vines Fairfield University Women's 1/4 Zip Top

It is a bit of a splurge, but it’s a great basic to have in your wardrobe. It’s somewhat casual, but looks more put-together than a regular sweatshirt material 1/4 zip.

5. Champion Fairfield University Women's Athletic Fit Swing Tank Top

You always have more motivation to work out when you have a cute new top to wear to the gym. The tank top also comes in other colors and styles, too, which makes it appealing to everyone.

6. League Fairfield University Women's Sweatpants

Who doesn’t love sweatpants on a lazy Sunday? Enough said.

7. Fairfield University 15 oz. El Grande Mug

It is perfect for making hot cocoa on snowy days, along with tea and coffee when studying for tests and writing papers.

8. Fairfield University Camelbak Eddy Water Bottle

I find having a good water bottle is essential in college and it will also match your new tank top for the gym.

No matter how functionally dysfunctional your friend group may be, if you're anything like me, you feel absolutely blessed to have found such a wonderful group of humans to call "your people." Here is what your friend group might look like if they were Disney princesses (and that wasn't just a thing you all pretended in your heads):

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
