The 8 Best Group Halloween Costumes

Nothing is more exciting than the beginning of October for college students. The fall weather is upon us, campus is looking even prettier than usual, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING is available again, and Halloween is just around the corner. And as exciting as everyone's favorite college holiday is, it is also one of the most stressful times of the year. That's not even an exaggeration either - the weeks leading up to Halloween are full of group chat arguments over which costume everyone wants to do. Endless texts over potential ideas, where to get the costume and who gets to be what go on for what seems like years. Have you ever tried to get 6 girls to agree to one outfit? It's a lot harder than it sounds. So here are some of the best group costume ideas if you want to look cute/funny/trendy all at once.

Disney Princesses

Disney Princesses are cute and easy. The costumes are super-easy to find online, or you can opt to make them yourself and add a more current/trendy vibe. Tons of stores like American Apparel, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, etc have plain colored skirts and tops that you can mix and match to create your perfect Princess look.

Mean Girls

Depending on the size of your Halloween squad, Mean Girls could be the perfect look for you. I mean, who hasn't seen that movie? And the second most important holiday in October is Mean Girls Day - so why not? You probably already own everything you need to create the perfect outfit.

Aliens

Need an excuse to cover your face in makeup and glitter and try out the Princess Leia buns you've always been to afraid to flaunt? This is the costume for you. I'm not sure what exactly happened that made this costume so popular, but all of a sudden aliens are THE THING to be for Halloween. The costumes are way cuter than they sound and are really easy to put together.

Clueless

If your squad is more of a trio, then this is perfect for you. Personally, I've been dying to do this costume but no one will be my Dionne (thanks for nothing friends). Nothing is more iconic than Cher's yellow plaid two piece set.

The Spice Girls

Speaking of iconic - there is no better excuse than Halloween to pay tribute to the greatest band of the 90s. Now go fight over who gets to be Posh.

The 7 Dwarves

Snow White (optional) and the 7 Dwarves are the perfect costumes for bigger groups. You can put the outfit together easily and probably already have everything you need somewhere in the depths of your closet.

Victoria's Secret Angels

Since our dreams of becoming real angels are probably a little far fetched, let's settle for the second best thing - dressing up as them for Halloween. All you need is a silk robe and some heels. Done.

Gossip Girl

If you can somehow convince two guys to dress up as Chuck and Nate, please do this for me. Not even for you. This is something that NEEDS to happen. Doesn't everyone dream of being Serena and Blair? No? Just me? Okay.

All of these costumes are super easy to put together and are gauranteed to make your squad the best-dressed, funniest, cutest squad in the game come October 31st.
