Summer is finally here, and everyone is scrambling to find some fun to get into; Especially couples, who plan on spending a lot of time each other. However, a lot of us draw blanks when it comes to finding fun, romantic date ideas without out-playing the usual dinner or movie.

Never fear, this list should provide some fun date ideas, if not inspire you to come up with some of your own:

1. Watch a Sunrise/Sunset

This is a simple, yet dreamy way to start or end a day with 'bae.' It's free and breathtakingly beautiful.

2. Go to a Drive-in Movie

I know I’m not the only one who's wondered if actual drive-in movies existed. Instead of going to a regular movie at a theatre, try going here instead. Bring your own snacks, and enjoy this rare entity.

3. Make Popsicles/Ice-cream

Everybody deserves a cold treat on a hot, sweltering summer day. Cool down and get creative by making popsicles or homemade ice-cream. There are so many different recipes out there for frozen, delicious indulgences, so step outside the box!

4. Candle-lit Outdoor Dinner

Amongst others on the list, this date has got to be one of my favorites (considering I’m a hopeless romantic.) This dinner date does not have to be anywhere extravagant, you can simply set this up in your backyard, or possibly at a local park.

Prepare a home-cooked meal (or get something to go from one of you guys' favorite restaurants), maybe even get a single rose and place it in a cup of water (for effect), and just enjoy this romantic dinner with each other.

5. Go on a Road Trip

Nothing screams summer vacation like a road trip. Whether its to a local city, or somewhere out of state, road trips are character builders and are bound to bring you and your significant other even closer together.

Take pictures of country sides, and stop and get food from infamous restaurants. It’s a great way to enjoy one another’s company.

6. Star Gazing

Almost like the first date on our list, star gazing is a simple way to unwind and talk about you guys’ day. With all the open sky, there gives room to have boundless conversations, ranging to infinity

7. Water Balloon Fight

Looking for a way to cool down without necessarily getting into a pool, or breaking the bank by going to a water park? A water balloon fight is the way to go. Not only is it fun, but you guys can make a game out of it without being concerned with privacy, nor spending money.

8. Participate in a Color Run

Some couples have fitness goals they want to achieve together, and there is no better way than to participate in a color run. Having ran in one myself, color runs are exciting, and full of friendly individuals. This is just a great way to cheer your 'bae' on and have wholesome fun in the process.

9. Have a Game Night

Although this isn't the most spontaneous thing on this list, its simple, friendly competition that can be spiced up.

10. Create a Memory Box

This is a lovely way to really collect memories during the summer, and an entity to cherish years later.

11. Have a Disney Movie Marathon

Bring out you guys' inner child by watching Disney classics, its sure to bring a sense of nostalgia.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
