Need something to do over the break in between nights of going out with your friends? Check out these fun DIY projects! I have tried all of these, and it certainly kept me busy over the month-long winter break.

1. Personalized Wine Crate

You can get the wooden crates for cheap at Michael's or A.C. Moore! I was inspired to make one when I stopped by my friend's room (she just so happens to be one of the editors for the Endicott team!). Her roommate had one in aqua with a Disney quote, and I thought it looked so fun! You can use it for anything! I decided to use mine for alcohol, mixers, and all the cute wine glasses my friends got me for Christmas!

2. Photo Collage

True story, I was trying to hang a bunch of pictures one day in my room, but they would not stay up with the tape. So, I brought them all home, and mod podge-d them all onto a foam board to make it a work of art! Not only will they stay up now, but now it has a nice glossy finish!

3. Painted Wine Bottle

I really love Moscato, just ask anyone. Instead of recycling all of my bottles, I decided to paint them. I've seen so many cute patterns on Pinterest!

4. New Dorm Decor

I'm in my third year of college, and I do not have any of the same pictures and artwork in my room this year than I did freshman year. I like new, I won't lie! I really love monograms, so I grabbed my first initial at Michael's and covered it in glitter. Thankfully it was before my dog jumped on the craft table got a hold of the glitter paint... Now, he has sparkly blue nails!

5. Self Care Box

If you know me, then you probably know that I'm obsessed with self-care! There is an infinite amount of things you can keep in the box. My favorite things in my self-care box are chocolate, face masks, a hand written note, a small candle, and a bath bomb!

6. Self Care Box - On the go!

This is basically another pencil box. In this one, I like to keep little things in there to get me through class, or anytime I'm not in my dorm room. I'll definitely be using it this semester with my crazy schedule! My favorite things to keep in my on-the-go box are a granola bar for when I forget to eat, a stress ball, and small toys to keep my hands busy.

7. Calm Down Jar

I saw this on Pinterest over the summer, and I thought it was just for kids. Then, later on, I noticed a lot of buzz on Facebook from my college friends. So I went ahead, and made one! I absolutely love it! I like to keep it right next to my bed. Sometimes it helps me sleep better!

8. Start a Scrapbook!

My sister inspired me to make one. She had just graduated, and she wanted to keep all of her high school memories as she was about to head off to college! I feel much more established at my college than I ever did at my high school, so mine is a working progress of my college years!

Hopefully, these will help reduce the winter break blues, and maybe help you look forward to the second semester!

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate. It can be overwhelming at times and it’s important to take a step a back and calmly think things over. Maybe gain some perspective.
