After all of the hard work you put in during finals week all you want to do is anything that requires little to no thinking. So you need some shows to watch and I have done all of the thinking for you and have told you the eight shows you need to watch.

8. Grey’s Anatomy

I put this at number 10 because pretty much everyone has already seen every season but this is a great show to rewatch as many times as you need to. After finals, the thing that the doctor ordered is a heavy dose of McDreamy and McSteamy. You can never have too much of Grey’s and we all just want Christina Yang in our lives.

7. Sons of Anarchy

Arguably one of the greatest shows I have ever watched. You have the main character, Jax Teller, who is played by Charlie Hunnam, aka the most beautiful human being to grace this planet. Him, mixed with motorcycle gangs and drama is just amazing. This isn’t higher on the list because it isn’t the most cheery show to watch, it’s pretty dark. But this is easily in my top five favorite shows.

6. Friday Night Lights

This is one of your typical high school drama shows but it is centered around one of the most important things of the south, high school football. This is a show that everyone that went to high school can relate to. Most of us spent our fall, Friday nights cheering on our boys. This show just brings back so many memories. What better way to spend your break back at home than watching a show that makes you feel all nostalgic?

5. Gilmore Girls

Ah, this show. This is one of those that I can see an episode 20 times and still love it as much as the first time I saw it. Most girls can relate to this show because of the relationship between Rory and Lorelei is a lot like the relationship they have with their own moms. After you finish binge-ing all seven seasons you can watch the new episodes that came out after thanksgiving. You won’t regret it.

4. Gossip Girl

Such a classic. So much drama. So much Chuck Bass. So many attractive guys. This show does get a bit slow at times but overall it’s such a great watch and the characters are so lovable. XOXO, Gossip Girl.

3. One Tree Hill

The show that currently is consuming my life for the second time. I visited some family that lives in Wilmington, NC over thanksgiving and I just had to watch this great show again. I can’t say enough about this show. I want to be in a relationship with Lucas. I want to be friends with Brooke and Haley. I want to eat at Karen’s Café. I just want to live in Tree Hill. So long story short, watch the show.

2. The O.C.

I miss this show so much. I feel giddy every time I watch it. I seriously cannot find words for the amazingness of this show. Just watch it.

1. Friends

This show is goals. I am so in love with this show it’s not even funny. You can’t not watch Friends and not fall in love. As you watch it, you start to try and figure out which friend you are in your group. I’m the Chandler Bing of mine or should I say Mrs. Chanandler Bong (that’s from my favorite episode). HIMYM tries to live up to the greatness of Friends but fails in every way.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
