Christmas is a magical time of year. The world looks so beautiful with all the snow and twinkly Christmas lights. However, the cold tends to make people spend a lot more time indoors with little to do. Thankfully, Netflix has come to save the holidays by giving us plenty of Christmas movies to watch this season.

1. White Christmas (1954)

This Christmas classic stars Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye as they team up with a sister song-and-dance act to put on a musical to encourage guests to visit a rural Vermont inn. 2. Scrooged (1988)

3. Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas (1999)

This family classic is divided into three parts: "Donald Duck Stuck on Christmas", "A Very Goofy Christmas", and "Mickey and Minnie's The Gift of the Magi". Huey, Dewey, and Louie experience Christmas on repeat until they figure out what Christmas is really about. Goofy goes to great lengths to prove to Max that Santa Claus exists. Mickey and Minnie sacrifice what is important to them to get the perfect Christmas gifts for each other. Each part is full of heart-warming holiday spirit that can't help but get you excited for Christmas.

4. Just Friends (2005)

Chris (Ryan Reynolds), a formerly overweight man, who returns home Christmas and reconnects with lifelong crush/best friend. Determined to get out of the friend zone, he uses his newfound confidence to woo the girl of his dreams. However, things don't go according to plan as he must deal with the many obstacles that get in his way. This movie has lots of laughs mixed in with the perfect amount of heart making it an enjoyable movie to watch this Christmas.

5. 12 Dates of Christmas (2011)

Just when she thinks she has gotten it all figured out the day resets again. She must learn what it means to have Christmas spirit and embrace all that has been given to her.

6. The Spirit of Christmas (2015)

While visiting the inn, she meets Daniel, the ghost (Thomas Beaudoin). Desperate to get the inn sold, Kate and Daniel team up to figure out what happened to him so that he can find peace. In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
