It is finally the season for Marching Band, and everyone comes in excited for the new year. However, before a marching band group can perform in front of an audience, they have to go through band camp, which is learning drills, routines, blocks, and music. Mostly, throughout this time, the band will be outside practicing, which causes awkward tan lines, even after loads of sunscreen! Don't believe me? Check this tan lines out!

1. Shoe tan line

During band camp, one is not allowed to wear anything on their feet but tennis shoes. Because of this, one gets pale feet right before school starts, and those feet will never be shown again throughout the fall season.

2. Shorts tan line

It gets hot after being in the sun all day, and shorts are a great choice for the heat, except...not for the tan line that one receives after an afternoon practice. The only way to get rid of this tan is to pull the shorts up or just wear that certain length of shorts for the rest of the year.

3. Watch tan line

One always has to be on time for band, and keeping time is the key--but the tan line will bring back the times you had at band camp. You might as well write your own time in the space as well!

4. Farmer's tan

Like many others who aren't in band camp, a person may receive a sleeve tan line from their t-shirt. Like as this guy above, it's hard then to wear anything else but a t-shirt because you don't want to show your pale shoulders.

5. T-shirt neck tan line

Besides the common sleeve tan line, such as above, there is also another tan line that comes with a t-shirt. This one however is the neck (front and back) and it can come in many shades, especially like the ice cream Neapolitan.

6. Saxophone neck strap tan line

Sadly, this can't be helped for those who play saxophone or tenor sax. However, that strap is needed, and there is barely a time when you are taking that off throughout the day. Good luck to you my fellow saxophone players, "and may the odds be ever in your favor."

7. Sports bra/tank top tan line

Ladies, I know this idea keeps you cool, but oh my goodness. How are you going to fix this?! Well, if you don't know, just wear a bra (or one that criss-crosses) and tank top to fix that tan line up! Ta-Da!

8. Sunglasses tan line

Sunglasses help a lot during band camp, especially for the color guard! Unless you forget to put sunscreen on your face, then you might end up with a tan line like this.

So how about those tan lines? Rather funny, right? Hopefully for those in band camp, you won't get as bad as these tan lines, and if you do, live it up! They only last for a little while anyway, right?

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
