If you've been alive at all within the past year, you'll know that Hamilton is one of the best new musicals that the world has ever seen.
Some people may not agree with this, but Hamilton is pretty bad ass. Hamilton: An American Musical is a sung-through musical about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, with music, lyrics and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Recently, Miranda released the Hamilton Mixtape.
The mixtape features songs from the original album sung by other artists and these are my favorite songs from the mixtape:
1. Burn - Andra Day
2. Satisfied - Sia (feat. Miguel and Queen Latifah)
3. Wrote My Way Out - Nas, Dave East, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Aloe Blacc
4. That Would Be Enough - Alicia Keys
5. Wait For It - Usher
6. Helpless - Ashanti (feat. Ja Rule)
7. You'll Be Back - Jimmy Fallon, The Roots
8. Dear Theodosia - Regina Spektor (feat. Ben Folds)
Of course, all of the songs on the mixtape are fantastic, but these are just my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
