Never lose sight of your dreams.

It is so easy to loose sight of dreams and aspirations, especially with so much going on nowadays. I never loose sight of my goals and I'm constantly thinking about what I want to accomplish and where I see myself in 10 years. The universe has a weird way with dealing with driven people. Sometimes I feel as if everything is against me and that I can't accomplish my goals and visions. I always keep pushing though, working hard on my projects and reading! Books are key to knowledge and you can't ever have enough of it. Anyways enough rambling. Here are some goals and aspirations of mine towards the future.

1. Getting All A's at Least Once

This has been one of the hardest things for me to accomplish. Anytime I'm doing well in one subject, I'm doing terrible in another. This has been one of my goals for a while now and I will accomplish this before I leave college! Sorry mom that it took 20+ years for me to accomplish.

2. Writing a Music

I find this so funny! I used to hate musicals, and when I say hate, I really mean hate. But after listening to the monster that is Hamilton, I fell in love with them. Now whenever I get the chance I always see them at the local theaters in Boston. I am currently in the works of writing a musical which will be heavenly worked on after the Summer of 2017.

3. Writing a Script to Be Produce in Hollywood

Man, I have so many ideas for scripts. What I always visioned was me writing a romantic comedy. I am one of the few that didn't like the rom-com Trainwreck. As I was watching it, I was thinking I could do a better job than this and that is what I plan on doing.

4. Writing a Book

I want to write a book for all of those struggling teens out there. I would focus on topics such as self-empowerment and success.

5. Opening an Art Center for the Creative Minds of Boston

Me and my friend Jared were talking about this idea on the bus home from school one day. I want to open an art center not only for kids to create but to give them a safe environment after school.

6. Create a T.V Show

Hopefully she reads this but I would love to create a T.V show centered Boston with my dear friend Jaccarrea. Actually, I would love to do this with all the creative minds of Boston.

7. Start my own clothing line

Cheap, affordable clothing that is stylish. I dress kind of preppy right now but I would focus on that and clean, relaxing clothing as well.

8. Move to Hawaii and live the rest of my life in peace

When its all set and done, I plan on moving to Hawaii and live peacefully. After there is nothing left to do and I have left my mark on the world, time to disappear to one of the islands and enjoy the warm weather and sandy beaches!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
