1. "Heartbreak"

Shock fills me up
Warm water droplets build up to blur my vision
Waves of reality hit me
He doesn't love me anymore
I don't know what's wrong
I'm trying to be strong but my strength is gone
I can't breathe
I'm gasping for his love
He doesn't see what he's doing to me
As he walks away, I whisper, "Stay."
The flood gates open
I fall to the ground
There is no sound but my heartbreak

2. "You"

I can't breathe
When you look at me
It's hard to see
Anything but you and me
Together, forever
No matter where you go
I'll always know
You were meant for me
I don't believe
You couldn't see
How I felt for you
I wish you knew
What we could do
If you blew me a kiss
I'd probably faint
This couldn't be--
You should love me

3. "A Mask"

She smiles to hide
The tears in her eyes
She seems to be perfect outside
But on this inside, she's dying
She cover up her emotions with lies
Hurting herself, every time
She doesn't want them to know
She doesn't want it to show
The hurt and pain she feels everyday
She wears a mask to hide her present
And her past

4. "One Soul For Me"

I believe there's only one soul for me
We have found each other
Yet he doesn't see
He's the half
That makes me whole
He's the one
But I don't think he knows
If he does
It must be true
He thinks his heart
Belongs to you

5. "Best Friend Of The Bride"

They laugh
I cry
They swoon
I sigh
They sit there all googly-eyed
I say, "I just want to die"
I can't live this life
As best friend of the bride
It hurts me inside
To know she gets to marry the guy
I thought was mine
When all along
He was hers
It was just a matter of time before she realized
She was his

6. "Some Girls"

Some girls are cruel
Spreading lies
About friends
Who don't realize
They walk around
Talking dirt behind your back
It is true, that's a fact
They hug you before
You walk away
But when you're gone
The rumors spray
That's not a friend
Innocent as she may seem
Look through her smiling face
And you'll see the horns
Above her braids

7. "She Lies"

She lies
Hiding the truth behind her smile
She builds a wall
For words to break down
But luckily
No one ever sees her frown
She knows
That's what some want
And late at night
That's when the truth haunts
In her dreams
She feels the pain
Even though
She strains to keep her norm
It gets tough to be strong
The roughness
Seems to last too long

8. "Nothing I Can Do"

What do you want from me?
I'm tired of this game
Can't you see?
There's nothing I can do
It's not my choice
It's up to you
Quit telling me what I need to do
How do you know?
If you're so smart
Then why don't you?
I can't solve this problem
I'm just a kid
I don't know all the answers
All I can do is try
And I've done that time after time
I quit
I'm through
Like I said
There's nothing I can do

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
