8 A.M. Classes, As Told By Michael Scott
Forbes Magazine

Eight o’clock morning classes are the worst. We've all been there -- having to walk across campus at 7:50 a.m., half asleep, and wishing we were still warm in our beds. Every college student knows the struggle; luckily, we have Michael Scott from "The Office" to help us get through the hard times.

1. Seeing your alarm go off at 7:30 a.m.

2. Showing up to class in a full-on groutfit.

3. Finding out your lectures are on Tegrity.

4. Thinking you did really well on a test, only to find out you did terribly.

5. When your teacher tells you there will be no extra credit.

6. Sitting in class, trying not to fall asleep.

7. Trying to catch up on missed classes, and you realize you have 320 PowerPoint slides to go over.

8. Showing up 25 minutes late, but proud of yourself because you still made it.

9. The computer stops working and you think your teacher might let you leave early.

10. The IT guy fixes the computer ... class continues.

11. Trying to understand complicated concepts on six hours of sleep.

12. Three minutes left of class and your professor thinks he can still make it through eight more slides.

13. Your professor announces there will be no curve on the test.

14. you finally check your grades on Blackboard.

15. Hoping you don't fail your next test.

16. Slowly leaving class, and someone reminds your teacher about homework that was due.

17. Reviewing material before your midterm the night before.

18. Signing up for next semester’s classes and seeing the class you have to take is only offered at 8 a.m.

19. Don't worry, summer is almost here. This semester will be over before we know it.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
