8 Activities For When You Reunite With Your Friends From Home

Don't get me wrong, I really love my school. But no matter how I feel here, I have been counting down the days until I am reunited with my best friends. We have been planning to do so many things when we are finally all home. Here are just eight of the many things you should do with your friends when you finally get home from school.

1. Shop for new summer clothes

If you are like me, then you are more or less sick of the clothes you brought to school with you. Having to see them everyday can do that to you. After you have unpacked all of your clothes from school, go to the mall with your friends! Get a new bathing suit, or a new dress, or new sandals. It's an excuse for you to hang out and also treat yourself.

2. Go hiking

Take advantage of the beautiful weather with your best friends and go on a hike. Hikes are an amazing way to get exercise without feeling like you are really exerting THAT much energy. Plus you get fresh air and feel great about yourself after.

3. Get breakfast, lunch and dinner

It’s hard NOT to spend hundreds of dollars the moment you get home because there are so many restaurants you miss and absolutely NEED to go to. Getting breakfast one day, lunch the other, and dinner the next with your friends is a great way to celebrate reuniting with them. It's also a way of reuniting with your favorite restaurants.

4. Go to the city

If you aren't from the city (NYC) or any city for that matter, you know how fun it is to make a day trip out of going. Go to the city with your friends for the day or even just for the night. Go see a show, go shopping or just get food. Basically any time you spend in the city with your friends will be fun.

5. Recap every detail of your life since you last saw each other

Of course you've heard it all from the group chat. But it is still important for the big stuff to be told again in person. Hearing it over text is one thing, but the facial expressions tell it all. You need to hear everything since the last time you were all together (in this case since spring break). This "activity" could honestly take up more than one day...but who knows.

6. Cook a meal

You and your friends could cook a meal together! Or if you are my friends, just bake some cookies. But cooking a meal is such a fun thing to do with your friends because then you get to enjoy it after.

7. Go to a concert

Concerts can be super relaxed or super crazy, but either way they are always enjoyable, and it’s so fun to go out to a concert with your best friends. Also, the pictures are always adorable.

8. Drive around blasting music with the windows down

When you and friends aren't in the mood to do anything in particular, this is the best activity. You are out of the house, you are all together, and you are screaming (probably incorrect) lyrics to songs. What could be better?

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
