I have been all about the throwback songs lately and let me explain why I love it so much. When these throwback songs come on, songs I haven't heard in years, I instantly remember all the words and I can recall the memories I have associated with them. I think we can all agree what a great feeling that is. Whether the songs were played at middle school dances, weddings, at the roller rink, in the gym, or if we sang them for karaoke night, I remember how I felt the first time I ever heard the song. I remember where I was and how it made me feel.
Music is a powerful source of happiness, and I love being able to listen to these songs and feel instantly connected to the person I used to be. Trust me, one day I will get these songs out and sing/rap all the words to my kids. They won't know what hit them.
So these are the 80 songs that I added to my Spotify Playlist "2000's throwbacks". And yes, this is what I will be listening to all summer.
