Orange is the new black and Netflix is the new YouTube. It is safe to say that YouTube has been replaced. Yet, as a YouTube enthusiast, I strongly believe that YouTube is wildly underrated. Despite my love for YouTube, there are a few videos that mildly concern me when I think about their past popularity. We were in high school -- so, I'm just going to blame it on lack of maturity. Not sure what I'm talking about? Here are seven YouTube videos that were ridiculously popular, but you probably forgot existed.
1. "Is that your breath?" by GloZell.
Her sign-off at the end of each of her videos is (still) everything.
2. "E=MC" by JonLajoie.
It, honestly, concerns me that this was ever a thing.
3. Fred.
Whether you hated him or loved him, there is no denying that you are now remembering his deafening screams and love for Judy.
4. Shoes.
"These shoes rule... these shoes suck!"
5. Muffins.
I always dreamed of trying Cunningham muffins...
6. Jenna Marbles.
Jenna Marbles was the queen of YouTube.
7. Nyan Cat.
I saved the best for last, folks.
And if this doesn't make you want to log out of Netflix and onto YouTube, I will probably end up writing another article that will.
