Finals are upon us which means that any and every possible distraction is, too. Ask any college student and he will be able to relate to how appealing the abyss of the internet is, how fun talking to friends seems, or how interesting the Facebook profile of the kid you sat next to in 4th grade suddenly becomes right around that tenth hour in the library. Well, study breaks are good - even necessary. So, to satisfy your need here's fifteen minutes of distraction.

1. Babies Laughing

This video will have you smiling from ear to ear. The laughter of the most adorable things on Earth is the single best way to break the gloom that hours of studying seems to produce.

2. Cats and Cucumbers

If you're using the internet to distract you, it's almost necessary to watch a video like this that includes cats. Personally, as more of a dog-person, I think this one is hilarious.

3. Cooking Videos

You are hungry for pizza, aren't you? Well watch this video and learn how to make this wildly impractical recipe just like the hundred other recipes you've saved on Facebook and will never make.

4. Magic

Let's face it, there's never really a good time to watch magic. So why not take the time that you should be using to study for some of the most important tests of your life, to squeeze a video like this into your day.

5. Other People Doing Worse Than You

Yes, you may have only gotten one sentence done of your 20 page paper, but this video proves that you aren't the only one suffering.

6. Fun Facts

You did tell yourself you would take this time to learn - the content wasn't specified. Being a well-rounded person is important, too. Not to mention, if this study break turns into a trip to the town's bar for Trivia Night, this video will put you ahead of the game.

7. A Little Motivation

And now, as our time comes to an end, I leave you with some motivation. For real though, no one says it better than the legend himself in this video. Homework is not fun, but living a successful future is so....well, you know the drill.

Happy Studying, Happy Procrastinating, and Happy Finals!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
