Life can be exciting and fun when creativity seems to flow out of your mind like a melody to a sweet song. It's easy, pleasant and calm. But in reality life isn't always exciting and fun. Sometimes it seems like there was a road block put directly on your brain and no matter what, you are in a creative pit that seems never ending.

Being creative makes life more easy flowing and fun, you always have ideas and thoughts swirling around in your head. And it helps you out in more situations that you would think. But when all of the sudden when your creative juices stop flowing it can be horribly frustrating. So here are 7 ways to get out of that pit and spark creativity.

1. Unplug

My number one tip that I have that helps spark creativity is to unplug. Unplug from social media. Log out of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. Sometimes you need a break from constantly knowing what other people are doing and focus solely on yourself. You get to be alone with your thoughts, which though can be intimidating at times, is actually the number way to get the purest ideas and thoughts flowing out of your brain. Free from any tainted opinions that might form via social media, you'll be thankful that you did this.

2. Read

One of the easiest ways to spark creativity is to read a peice of work that someone else wrote. Whether it be a book, an article,a blog post, anything, reading someone elses work will without a doubt spark creativity. You's be surprised on how easy you can relate to other people's experiences, even if it's in a fictional novel. And if you don't than that's even better! That way you will put yourself in their situation and wonder what you would, say, think or feel.

3. Go Outside

Nothing is better than being outside, no matter what anyone says, fresh air and sunshine is a cure for any bad mood. The best thing about being outside is that inspiration blossoms from everywhere. Just by taking a walk in your neighborhood you can find inspiration. Walk outside, pay attention to the people around you, the color of the trees and the smell of the flowers. And if it's raining, don't let that stop you! Grab an umbrella and head out the door.

4. Listen to Music

Music is powerful. Everyone has one song that no matter what takes them back to a certain time in their life. That one song has such a powerful memory attached to it. Listen to that song. Try and rekindle how you were feeling at that time! Try to recreate the moment in your mind. You'd be surprised at how easy it can actually be and how much creativity can come just from listening to that one song.

5. Hit up Pinterest and Tumblr

Pinterest and Tumblr, my goodness they are great creations let me tell you. Both websites are just filled with pictures that can get your creativity rocking and rolling. Pinterest is the site for you if you like tips and trick , and some DIY instructions. Though Pinterest is filled with pictures as well, Tumblr mainly sports just pictures. Usually if I'm looking for any sort of inspiration I'll check Tumblr first and then go straight to Pinterest! It works wonders!

6. Write Out Your Day

Writing. It's not everyone's favorite activity of choice (even though it's totally fun and everyone should love it) but it can help spark creativity. A small tool I've adapted over the years to help me when I have some sort of creative-block is to write out what I did that day. Every single detail down to the clementine I ate along with my breakfast that morning. And most of the times, even if seemed like the most dull day in the world, you'll find something buried deep in there that made your day. Write out how it made you feel and the people involved. And bam, you'll have something to spark your creativity. You'd be surprised how much this actually helps!

7. Talk to a friend

Lastly, if your the type of person that gets mostly inspired through events or memories in your life, talk to a friend. If you get rolling on a deep conversation, there's no stopping how much inspiration you'll get. A trick for this tip is to not purposely push a deep conversation on someone. Maybe they don't necessarily want to talk about something deep and want to keep the conversation light. However, sometimes from the lightest, funniest conversations the most creativity will dawn from the memories that come from that conversation.

There you have it! 7 ways to spark creativity! Enjoy!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
