7 Easy Ways To Relax As A College Student

If you’re a college student, you know as much as I do that we are all about done with this semester. It is at that point where Professors make all their due dates and finals the same day. It feels almost impossible to breathe. But, don’t fret! I’m here to rescue you with a few tips on how to relax from all the stress school gives us.

1. Take a minute to breathe.

I know it sounds a lot easier than it actually is. But, we all feel like we don’t even have time to breathe. So, if you’re reading this, I want you to listen to me. Sit back for a second and breathe. There is a lot more time than you think.

2. Make a To-Do list.

Prioritize what the most important thing to do is and go down the list. Slowly. Don’t rush or else you’ll forget tip #1.

3. Go for a drive.

Open up the windows and feel the fresh air against your skin as you drive down the highway. Drive until all your thoughts are cleared.

4. Listen to music.

Listening to music definitely helps a lot. Listen to something that is going to relax, but motivate you to study for that test in a week. Also, combining this tip with tip #3 is always a great combination.

5. Write.

Write down your thoughts. Write all of them out so you don’t feel like your brain is going to explode with all the information you’re taking in.

6. Dance.

Dance and dance and dance until your feet hurt. This is a great way to burn off energy and stress.

7. Take a nap.

This is the last tip and the best one. All of us college students forget that the most important thing is to sleep or nap. You want energy, but this is definitely one of the most important ways to gain energy.

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
