Writing is a part of everyday life for some people, but sometimes ideas for stories don't always flow as easily as we would like them to. Here are 7 simple ways to help you come up with the perfect plot.

1. Write what you know.

It's as simple as that - write something that interests you, such as a hobby.

2. Make yourself write something down.

Even if it's a crappy idea, writing it down can help you generate more ideas.

3. Don't be afraid to be creative.

Writing is fun if you make it fun. Don't be afraid to let your creative side take over - if it's interesting to you, then it'll hold your readers' attention.

4. Find a writing prompt you love and run with it.

Letting someone or something start your story for you is a great way to get rid of writer's block.

5. Create a mind map.

Pick a topic (ex. things you love) and write down everything you can think of.

6. What if...

Start with a "what if" and fill in the rest.

7. Look on Pinterest.

Pinterest is full of ideas for writing. From writing prompts to how to get started creating your story, you'll be able to find it.

Now that you have helpful tips for coming up with a story idea, start writing. Who knows, something amazing could come out of it.
