"The Office" has always been there to offer up a laugh at the lowest points in my day. Watching an episode can easily turn my frown upside down, and although the show is a comedy, many helpful tips can be found throughout the series.
This time of the year is big for the Freshman Fifteen. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year right around the corner, that means food upon food upon food. Those yummy treats and all that turkey can do some serious damage and waiting until spring break to get that bod back in shape is just not very realistic. So I've linked up the best TV show ever and the worst activity ever, exercising, to help you with those workout blues. Here are seven quick, easy ways to dodge that holiday weight as per "The Office."
1. Run it off! Get out there and get those legs pumping!
Bonus points if you start your own Fun Run for the Cure of Rabies like Michael Scott.
2. Try some Zumba!
How fun is that? Who would have thought that working out could be so much fun? Oh, that's right! Andy Bernard did. I mean, just look how happy he is.
3. Yoga! Wait... does planking count?
Duh, planking counts. Planking always counts.
4. Try some heavy lifting.
Kevin definitely thanked himself later. You'll probably be better at it then he was anyways...
5. Shoot some hoops.
I mean you can't be worse than Michael, so, hey! Why not give it a go?
6. Soccer.
The best sport on this earth and it's honestly one of the best total body workouts.
7. Celebrate when it's over because let's be real, it was probably terrible and awful and you never want to work out again and that's totally OK.
At the end of the day, ultimately you'll feel good about yourself and you'll be proud you put that time in. If the gang from "The Office" can handle it, you can too! Don't patronize yourself and wait until the last minute to get that body in shape, go ahead and get a jump on it. Sure working out was probably terrible, but now you can go strut your stuff and you'll have dodged that freshman 15 like a true member of "The Office."
