A person never appreciates a good TV show until it's over. On Netflix, you are given a plethora of options and that is the overwhelming problem, "what show do I choose to dedicate my life to this month?" It's the choice, which is the hardest part. Well, fear no more, Netflix viewers, for I have solved your life problems.

Welcome to the 7 Must Watch TV Shows On Netflix.

1. The Vampire Diaries

As I have mentioned in previous articles, this TV show has a little bit of everything to offer. An attractive cast, a supernatural plot, romance and even sex. Yes, sometimes they even show it. Its the best of both worlds and with 8 seasons, it will give you plenty of things to cry over and will most certainly make you wish you lived in Mystic Falls.

2. New Girl

New Girl is a strictly comedy show. Yes it has romance, but the best parts come through the characters personalities and stupid, little jokes. It took me two tries to get into the show but once you're in, you're in for life.

3. Supernatural

I have watched this show throughout my entire life, and I mean literally because this show is 13 seasons long and just got renewed for its 14th season. Many people turn away from this show because it's about two brothers hunting supernatural monsters, but I'll be damned if it's not one of the funniest and most touching shows I have ever seen. There's nothing like brotherhood, and now I understand somewhat the pull of Frat life.

4. Criminal Minds

When you're in the mood for a good scare, or you just find serial killers interesting, this show will definitely check all of your boxes. An incredible cast with characters that warm your heart, all the while being bad-ass is something I believe that every person needs in their life. Not only is this one of the most interesting shows that I have ever seen in my life, but the story line keeps you wanting more and more. Now wonder it is on its 13th season.

5. No Tomorrow

A show like no other in the fact that its about the apocalypse, an Australian guy, a girl and a bucket list. Okay, so if the fact that the guy is Australian didn't pull you in right away, maybe the fact that he is gorgeous will, or maybe the show itself will make you fall in love with it. Either way, it has the laughs and it will make you realize that life is short and you should have fun living it. A lesson we all need to be reminded of sometimes.

6. Gilmore Girls

Lorelai and Rory are part of my family. That's just a fact. Once you are welcomed into Stars Hollow, you will never be the same. I have re-watched this series about three times and have introduced it to people who hated it, and now they can't get enough. The wit of Lorelai is something that should always be cherished and appreciated and one day I hope to grow up and be just liker her. Watch this show and you will, too.

7. The Mysteries of Laura

I actually came across this show accidentally one day when I was scrolling on Netflix. It's about this detective who solves crimes, all the while taking care of her two young sons and working at the same police station as her ex-husband. It's a sort of classic crime TV show, with comedy similar to the show Psych. Either way, you're sure to get a laugh from this hidden gem.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
