1. The Saint

This is the horse that puts up with pretty much everything. He is bombproof, a great babysitter for small children, and usually getting up there in years.

2. The Challenge

"The little horse that could," to everyone else it seemed ridiculous to attempt that discipline, trick, or to even have that horse at all, but you saw the potential for a great partnership. It wasn't without a lot of hard work, but the bond with that horse made it all worth it.

3. The Soulmate

This horse isn't without challenges, but everything just seems to fit really well. He just gets you, communication flows, he's eager to please, and is a reflection of your own personality. Sometimes this horse is the one who picked you rather than you picking him.

4. The Tester

No limit is ever safe around this horse. From always checking to see if the electric fence is on, seeing just how many steps he can take after you've called out "whoa," to invading your personal space every chance he gets, this guy keeps you on your toes.

5. The Scaredy-Cat

Whether he's never seen that bush before, or he's seen it a million times, you can bet on this horse spooking. Every trail ride has the chance of turning into Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, but it seems to happen more often with this horse.

6. The Project

Whether he's a rescue, an OTTB, or simply the only horse that you could find, this horse was more work than you originally planned on. However, the benefit of seeing your relationship and his skills grow makes this a very special horse.

7. The Magician

This horse has always got a trick up his sleeve, whether it's getting manure on only the white areas of his body the night before a show, managing to remove shipping boots, unlatching even the most complex gates, or untying knots that not even a sailor could undo, he always keeps you on your toes.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
