Seven Types Of Cousins

I bet you have at least one of these.

Seven Types Of Cousins

Cousins are an important part of our lives, you either love your cousins or you hate them. And if by chance you are born in a "Brown family," then I don't even have to explain how many cousins we have or how much fun it is when everyone gets together. Nevertheless, we can all relate to having these particular types of cousins.

1. The Cool Cousin

This is the cousin that everyone just loves, you don't know why but you love them, too. He/she has the smarts and wits to keep everyone in a good mood, and has a caring personality. Usually this is the oldest cousin in the family.

2. The "Too Cool For You" Cousin

This is the cousin that is a bit ignorant and at times even rude. He/she doesn't want to associate with the rest of the group on a family trip and is often irritated with the world. Usually the cousin that just entered their teen years. Although it's pretty funny to "people watch" this person.

3. The "One" Cousin

This is that one cousin that your parents compare you with all the time! Why don't you get good grades like him? Why aren't you an athlete like her? Why are you so lazy? Learn something from your cousin! You especially have to deal with this if you are born to Brown parents. #desiproblems

4. The Pretty Cousin

This is the cousin that's stunningly gorgeous and you wonder why those family genes didn't get to you. Usually a girl, but every now and then it's a guy, and you take a million selfies with them.

5. The Weird Cousin

This is the cousin that you knowingly or unknowingly steer away from. They're the one that don't fit into your group, and when they do, they creep you out.

6. The Knowledgeable Cousin

This is the person who is extremely smart and excellent at academia, more like a walking encyclopedia. They have knowledge about anything and everything-- if you have trouble in school, this is your go-to person.

7. The Mature Cousin

These are the soft spoken and understanding cousins. They are easy to talk to, they listen to your problems, and even help you come up with your own solutions. Your parents are at ease if they come with you on a trip, sometimes to the point that they trust him/her more that you. They are usually the humble one in the group.

Tag a cousin! And let us know who you relate with!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
