Everyone says they want to be a senior, but trust me you really don’t. Enjoy the easy days, because senior year is not easy. First you have to apply to colleges, and that includes writing college essays, paying for applications, choosing where to apply too and did I mention writing college essays? Then you experience the ultimate stress of waiting for your acceptance (or denial) letter to come. After that it only gets worse, but no worries, Twenty One Pilots has a song for every moment.

1. Stressed Out

We “wish we could turn back time to the good old days” and have our moms sing us to sleep instead of crying ourselves to sleep. We try to come up with something that “no one’s ever heard” so we can get our tuition paid for.

2. Doubt

The application will ask for your social media so you will spend the next hour deleting all of the pictures that you didn’t spend forever editing to make yourself look perfect. Admit it: you’re “scared of [your] own image” and scared that there’s a chance you won’t get accepted due to your looks or quality of photos.

3. The Judge

You have turned in your application, but now the process of freaking out has begun. Now you can no longer do anything except wait, but you will lock yourself in your room and question everything because “…his four walls declared him insane.” Then “…the leader of the bad guys sang” and you’re thinking “”Wow, I probably should’ve stayed inside my house” because your acceptance letter has come and you’re not ready.

4. Ride

You got into college. Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the next stage in your life secured. You’re on a high--everything’s great.

5. We Don’t Believe What’s On TV

Second semester of senior year has finally come. It’s stressful, and you’re freaking out. It might only be February, but you start to think “what if my dream does not happen?” So if you’re not a senior, then tell them you’re going to stick around, because all we’re thinking is “I need to know that when I fail you’ll still be here.”

6. Before You Start Your Day

It's Graduation day so “put out the glitter that your soul hides behind” because today is your day. Don’t worry about any of your recent failures. All that should be on your mind is you singing to yourself “la da, la da, la da, la da, la da, la da.”

7. Polarize

It’s moving day. You want to move and go to your dream school, but you don’t want to say goodbye to your hometown. As you say your goodbyes, you will be reminded of every memory that happened at every spot in town, whether they’re good or bad.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
