7 Tips To Know When Ordering At Dunkin' Donuts
USA Today

Working at varieties Dunkin' Donuts in the past three years has taught me many lessons in life. Not only lessons but some tips on how to order at Dunkin' Donuts. Many people may think this article is useless, but trust me, being a crew member at Dunkin' for many years, these tips are beneficial for customers. These tips could help customers like yourself on ordering the right way, so there is no kind of mix-up when ordering, and everyone is happy.

There are some ordering tips and there are some general tips.

1. Size is very important when telling the crew member your beverage.

Please mention the size of your drink first, without your size we are unable to charge your drink onto the register. Many times I get hit with a complicated drink and because I don't know the size, I'm unable to record the drink onto the register. It can be very frustrating at times.

2. More than one meaning when you say "regular."

A coffee regular could mean a coffee with cream and sugar. It could also mean original blend, or wanting a hot coffee. There are different meanings when you say regular. To make sure that your coffee is made the right way, please specify on what type of "regular" you mean. If you want milk and sugar please let us know because we will put cream instead of milk.

3. There are so many donuts.

We have so many donuts, please don't ask us what kind of donuts we have, but ask us what donut you may be looking for.

4. Sometimes we actually don't have donuts.

If for some odd reason we don't have donuts, we sincerely apologize for having none. Yes, we know we are Dunkin' Donuts and are known for our donuts, but some days we just are all out. No reason to get upset, there are four other Dunkin' Donuts in a two-mile radius.

5. Your attention is needed.

I've noticed a lot of mistakes happen when the customer does not pay attention to their order while we are repeating it. So please pay attention when we read back your order, we want to make sure it is right and nothing is missing.

6. A Dunkin' with a drive thru.

At every Dunkin' Donuts with a drive thru, there is a speaker and a window. Please don't drive up to the window and expect us to take your order, sometimes we are nice and do, but we have a speaker especially to take orders. Please also understand that we have a timer for our drive thru, and need to keep it under 200 seconds per car to make our time good. So, when you are asked to be moved, please don't get offended.

7. Some Dunkin' Donuts do not have Baskin-Robbins.

We are very sorry if we don't sell ice cream, as a crew member I am sad about that too. But we can show you where the nearest Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins is so that you are able to enjoy the ice cream we don't have.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
