vAlas the time has come. Thanksgiving is over and Christmas season has finally begun. The holiday season is in full force and holiday parties are also in full force. With that being said, dinner party (friendsgivings and Christmas parties included) etiquette has to be addressed. Here are a few tips to having successful holiday parties without the fuss or the drama.
1. Make sure there's enough food and make sure you know who's coming.
There’s nothing worse than having hungry guests! If you’re invited to a dinner party and you want to bring a plus one, make sure you OK it with the host so they’re not taken by surprise.
2. If you're of age, make sure there are alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks.
Not everybody drinks so you haveto make sure to accommodate everybody! Also make sure your guests are safe drivers.
3. Make sure the guests mesh well together.
Don’t let your holiday party get messed up with unnecessary drama and chaos! Make sure you choose the guest list wisely.
4. Create a popping playlist.
Honestly, a party is only as good as the DJ. If you can’t maintain the aux, get somebody who can or use one of Apple music’s playlist.
5. Make sure everybody knows what they're bringing so there aren't any repeats.
Who wants to eat five different versions of macaroni and cheese? Not to mention that’s bound to create some unintentional competition and strife.
6. Always bring something to the guest's house.
Nevercome to a friend’s holiday party empty handed! Even if it’s something small, show your appreciation by bringing some token of appreciation
7. Have fun!
The most important tip! Don’t forget to have fun and enjoy yourself!
