I really love BBQ. It is a great way to have a family and friends get together. BBQ has its own style and representation and differs from one party host to another. We all want our BBQ to be the best, the food is the most delicious, drinks can be served in easy and several batches and there should be a lot of fun in the atmosphere.

BBQ can only be enjoyed when all these three elements are correct and we have given a checklist below so that you can make sure that at the end time you can make few final checks to get the best out your BBQ.

1. Go potluck-style

A small and nice invite in the form of an email can never go wrong. It is not only sweet and exciting but will also give a warm feeling to the guests who are asked to come.

It makes the things a little official. When things are last minute it is better to take help of someone then regretting it later. Ask people to contribute to a bag of chips or snacks.

2. Pick pitcher-perfect drinks

Just one word. Beer! Beer and BBQ can never go wrong together. Along with this, a pitcher could do wonders. For a pitcher, you can mix lemon, bourbon, ginger beer and sugar to make a lemonade kind of a thing.

3. Corn on the Cob

One way to style and give a spice to your food is putting corns on the cob. Put some corn on the BBQ to use it as a side dish and make it more interesting by putting some cheese and chili powder on it. A room temperature butter can also do wonders with the dish.

4. Set the mood with your music

To set the mood perfect for the party, a good music playing in the background can never go wrong. You can also mix different genres of the song like eclectic, classic rock, 90’s hip-hop, upbeat pop classics which can be changed into a delightful playlist of rock songs. Just chose the music that makes you smile and dance.

5. Bust out the yard games

Lawn bowling is the most fun element to have on a BBQ event, and it is easy to arrange as well. All you need is 10 empty plastic soda bottles, water, and any ball. Fill these bottles with water and take the ball to go for a strike. An alternative to this is to play an outdoor twister. This will bring the thrill to the guests seeing that you have set up a corn hole or a badminton game in the backyard.

6. Keep your set-up simple

Keep the decoration simple. Simple is the best thing one can have. Put a few picnic blankets, colorful ones will be the best for seating.

Bring out some glow lights so that the lawn can look beautiful after the sunset, and that’s it, these simple steps will help your lawn look prettier and in a simple way.

7. Don’t forget dessert

Desserts generally do not have to be fancy. Find a dessert that would require minimal effort to be served and clean it later. S’mores will be the best option for this. It is easy to cook, all you have to do is to add a plate and a spoon to your serving so that the stickiness can be avoided.

Another tip would be to let the guest decide on how much banana they want, apart from chocolates and marshmallows. You can also consider adding whipped cream and M&M sprinkles.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
